Alameda County Resource Conservation District: Executive Officer
The Alameda County Resource Conservation District works with residents, local, state and federal agencies and other organizations to make conservation happen in Alameda County. We are seeking an Executive Officer to lead a growing and innovative conservation agency and join a team of dedicated staff and a committed Board of Directors. This is a great opportunity for an energetic, creative and dedicated person who wants to help us make conservation happen in Alameda County.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Executive Officer oversees district finances, personnel, education and outreach, revenue development, and conservation project management and implementation. A strong candidate will possess:
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a field such as conservation, agriculture, or natural resources management (extensive experience may be considered)
- At least three years experience managing individuals in a team setting and in program management
- Creative, flexible and articulate leadership skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to present information to a variety of groups
- Demonstrated organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to furthering our goals
- Familiarity with special district and/or non-profit operations and with local natural resource and agricultural issues preferred
